Being black is a luxury simple as that.
No matter how the media likes to project us to the masses, we know as a collective not everyone can survive being black, its not for everyone, and that’s why we as people need to treat our blackness as a resource rather than an impediment

Well, son, I'll tell you:
Life for me ain't been no crystal stair.
It's had tacks in it,
And splinters,
And boards torn up,
And places with no carpet on the floor-
Bare.
But all the time
I'se been a-climbin' on,
And reachin' landin's,
And turnin' corners,
And sometimes goin' in the dark
Where there ain't been no light.
So, boy, don't you turn back.
Don't you set down on the steps.
'Cause you finds it's kinder hard.
Don't you fall now-
For I'se still goin', honey,
I'se still climbin'
And life for me ain't been no crystal stair.

Dear Black Woman
by: Abanno C.E
Dear Black woman,
Do you know you are astonishing?
I envy your strength
I salute your courage
I commend your confidence
And I am in awe of your beauty
Skin of chocolate and Heart of gold
Hair spun from the finest of threads, a statement of pride.
A woman of elegance and class
Mother of Africa and voice of the nation
There is power in your variety
And strength in your voice.
You speak your mind but it is seen as having an attitude
Your independence is seen as being unapproachable
And your refusal to settle for anything less than you
deserve is seen as unappreciative
You are not an angry woman,
But one with something to say.
Dear black woman
You may face scrutiny for your complexion
Your curves, your kinky hair
But heed not the critics
Remember that they yearn for your swag and rhythm
They want your complexion, your curves
But your beauty cannot be imitated

If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.

septic
summertime
This summer we are dedicating it to enjoyment with purpose. we spent all semester stressing about that degree, then during the summer we work till our pockets are full but when do we get to enjoy our labor?
Whenever you book or end up being in a septic production (reel, TikTok, concept shoot, etc) feel free to use this hashtag as a way to help others find new and cost-friendly things to do during the summer
